The SOA Work Group : About the Work Group
Who are we?
The SOA Work Group is a work group of The Open Group Customer Council and Supplier Council. Our mission is to develop and foster common understanding of SOA in order to facilitate alignment between the business and information technology communities.
We have worldwide and cross-industry representation. Nearly 400 people from over 70 Open Group member companies are involved in our work.
What do we do?
We carry out our mission by conducting a work program to produce information about SOA and SOA standards to assist business and information technology professionals within and outside of The Open Group to understand and adopt SOA.
The current output of the SOA Work Group is published in the SOA Source Book. It forms a collection of source material for use by enterprise architects working with Service-Oriented Architecture.
These deliverables are being developed by a number of projects, resulting in publications that appear in The Open Group bookstore, and on the web. Descriptions of these projects can be found on the members’ site.
